Originally from China, Dongling has since traveled the globe extensively and considers herself a world citizen. She speaks fluent Mandarin and English, as well as some Italian, French, German. She has lived in the US for 10 years and has gained an in-depth knowledge of New York City real estate from her husband Bill Roche, who is an Associate Broker with Brown Harris Stevens for over 15 years. Her passion for art and architecture, have helped to propel her deep interest in the real estate industry. She has a unique ability to quickly assess a situation and identify creative solutions with her customers. She also has a sincere interest in people, is a great listener, and works very hard to make sure her clients’ needs are taken care of. She is committed to exceptional personalized service with honesty and transparency and understands that matching clients with suitable properties requires diligence, negotiating skills, taste, patience, persistence and careful attention to detail.

Prior to joining Brown Harris Stevens, Dongling pursued her dream as a performing artist in Opera. She has apprenticed with numerous world renowned Master teachers and musicians and has performed at many prestigious music Halls both in the East and West. She has appeared on national TV broadcasting in China,,trained and toured in Italy, France and numerous cities in Europe as well as the US. Most recently, she performed twice at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. Dongling has also hosted many international cultural communication programs. Besides performing, she also has taught voice for many years and is a member of NATS.

After graduating with honors in Dance and Voice from Shandong School of Art, Dongling attended Renmin University, one of most prestigious universities in China, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Voice. She was an honorary recipient of the Weinthenhoffer Opera Fellowship at University of Oklahoma where she earned her Master’s Degree in Music. She also received a Professional Artist Diploma in Opera from the prestigious Mannes School of Music in New York City.

Dongling has tremendous love and respect for this city and its people. She loves the arts, ballet, movie, travel, cooking and most importantly sharing time with people she truly cares for. Formerly, she has served as the vocal director at CHIHUI foundation for Children, and Namei International Music Festival at Lincoln Center 2015.
