Prior to joining those organizations, Kitey served as Associate Executive Director and Director of Development for the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan when she led the development team in raising several million dollars for the construction of a new 11 story building. It was there that she honed her negotiating skills by successfully lobbying the United States Congress for a multi-million dollar effort in federal funding for the establishment of The Center for Jewish History.

Other highlights of Kitey’s career include serving as Vice President of the Jerusalem Foundation where she worked closely with Teddy Kollek, former Mayor of Jerusalem.
