Mary Hall grew up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and has a true affinity for her home town and its different neighborhoods. After college, Mary lived briefly in the Flower District then moved to Murray Hill for several years before returning to the Upper East Side where she currently resides with her husband, two school-aged daughters, and the family's English Cocker Spaniel. She has a weekend home in Millbrook, New York.

Mary attended the Brearley School, and then graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor's degree in both English and Political Science. After two years as a legal assistant in the corporate law firm of Wachtel, Lipton, Rosen and Katz, Mary moved on to Fordham Law School, and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1990. From 1990 to 1993, until the birth of her first child, Mary worked as a staff attorney at the New York City Landmarks Commission, which proved instrumental in increasing her knowledge of Manhattan real estate, the intricacies of zoning law, and many other aspects of real estate law. Her legal training serves her well today in the residential real estate world. She is a true advocate for her clients, with strong negotiation skills, a relentless attention to detail, and ability to anticipate and prepare for the possible outcomes of a given set of circumstances.

Mary is well versed in the function of cooperative boards, condominium requirements and managing agents. Discretion in all matters is of paramount importance. Mary has valuable sensitivity and insight into her client’s needs, and will work efficiently, diligently and effectively to meet the needs of both buyers and sellers.
